Herbster Family
Pastor Nathan Herbster and his wife Karis were called to Faith Baptist church in the summer of 2021. Pastor Herbster grew up serving with his family at The Wilds Christan Camp in Brevard, North Carolina before the Lord moved his family to Hong Kong, where his father currently serves as a missionary pastor. Pastor Herbster holds a BA in Pastoral Studies and an MA in Biblical Studies. Having served as assistant pastor to Pastor Byford since June of 2021, Pastor Herbster became lead pastor of Faith Baptist Church in January of 2026.
Byford Family
Pastor David Byford and his wife Anne both grew up in Michigan and attended Bob Jones University before being led by God to start Faith Baptist Church in 1986. For 40 years, the Byfords faithfully served the Lord and their church in many ways. Pastor Byford’s emphasis in preaching has always been to teach exactly what the Bible says and to show how the teaching of Scripture applies to everyday life. Pastor Byford holds a BA in Bible and a Doctorate of Ministry. Pastor Byford retired from the pastorate at Faith Baptist Church at the end of 2025 and received the honorary title of Pastor Emeritus in appreciation for his years of faithfulness to God and the church.
