Things to remember when giving the five truths of the Gospel Presentation
1. State the main truth.
2. Show the key Bible verse.
3. Explain the truth form the Bible.
4. Illustrate the main truth. (help them understand)
5. Restate/Repeat the point by applying it.
6. Build the bridge to the next ruth.
I. God is good, a God of love who does not want anyone to perish.
A. Exposure: Key Verse John 3:16
B. Definition:
1. Love (God loves the people in the world very much)
2. Perish (Destroyed)
C. Illustrations:
Burning House
If you out of love wanted to save your spouse, child, loved one, friend from a burning house, you would do everything you could to get them out of danger. You would do this even if it makes them suffer inconvenience.
Washed-Out Bridge
If you were driving down a road with a bridge washed out, a caring person would stop and do everything possible to keep you from going over that washed out bridge. He would do this even if it made it inconvenient for you.
D. Application: God loves you so much that He does whatever is necessary to keep you from being destroyed.
E. Transition: The said truth, however, is that people in our society are constantly being destroyed! (Divorce, suicide, relationships, financially, eternally, etc.) Do you know why?
