The Priority of Our Time (Job 7:1, 6; James 4:14; Proverbs 27:1)
- Time is not assured.
- Time must be used properly. (Psalm 90:9-12; Ephesians 5:15-16)
- One day we will give an account for all our time and effort. (2 Corinthians 5:10)
I. Consider Your Priorities
Ladder Approach to Priorities
*God
*Family (Ephesians 5:22, 25; 6:1-2, 4; Titus 2:4)
*Church (Hebrews 10:25)
*Job (Ephesians 6:5)
*Ministry
*World/Government (Matthew 28:19-20; 27:57)
Dangers to the Ladder Approach
1. It is hard to prove biblically.
2. It allows for us to make excuses.
3. It is difficult to maintain.
II. Consider Your Relationships
Five Biblical Relationships
*Family
*Employer/Employee
*Governments
* Church (Romans 131-3)
*World
